BITUMEN EMULSION
A 15TPH Bitumen Emulsion production plant and a 240 tons storage facility for bitumen emulsions.

This facility produces all sorts of Bitumen emulsions such as Seal coats of different grades, prime coats of different grades and tar coats of different grades.

The Company has also introduced and is producing  Polymeric Bitumen emulsions  into the Ghanaian market, which have better cohesion,  adhesion, anti-stripping properties, fatigue resistance, etc. when compared to conventional emulsions.

POLYMER MODIFIED BITUMEN FACILITY

Platinum Seal has installed a 420 TPH Polymer Modified Bitumen processing facility.  This plant is the first of its kind in the world and runs on variable speed agitators and has a capacity, ability & technology to produce all grades of bitumen largely classified as Performance Grade Binders, such as PG 64-22, SHVNE for various grades of traffic designation. 

The plant is capable of producing higher grades from PG 76-16, PG 82-16 and other much higher grades which can be enhanced for fuel resistance which are highly needed for usage on airfields and airports.  Our base polymers are manufactured by DuPont International. Our blends are strictly chemical reactive unlike other polymers such as SBS which are physically reactive and can separate during transportation and storage. Asphalt mix concretes produced with our PMB’s can travel a total of 400km/r² without any significant loss in temperature. Additionally, our performance graded bitumen which is chemically reactive are not reversible and very stable.
